Oh yes, yet another site revision

If you haven't noticed already, I have a new version of the site happening RIGHT HERE. What you see right now in this version of the site will see no more updates...everything will be happening on the new version of the site from now on. The gallery here and the OLD gallery will continue to function for the time being, so there's no need to sweat it yet. That being said, I have disabled new user registrations on this version of the site and gallery.

Office Observations, PC vs. Mac

No, this is not a story about the age-old battle of PC vs. Mac, but rather a simple observation about transitioning from old equipment to new when Macs and PC's are involved. The week before last, our boss decided it was time to upgrade our office equipment. Our office is all PC, but for the past year, I'd been using my personal MacBook. With that in mind, my boss gave me the option of getting a shiny new 21.5" iMac...an option he also gave the rest of the office.

Still Alive And Kicking

Yes, things are still pumping around here, but I've just been a bit busy with other stuff. Lots of riding and normal, everyday working...if you know what I mean!

Spring is Springing!

Finally, the weather gods are granting us some warmer weather, which means it's time to saddle up and hit the road! Of course, I've already been out there for a few months, but seems like all the hankie riders are getting into the action now, which always leads to interesting times on the road. Anyway, if you ride, be safe out there...cellphone drivers seem to be getting worse every season!

Changing Again

Oh crap, here we go again! I was playing with a Drupal site we designed for a client today and caught the bug...I must change my site's look. So, since the weather's turning to snow and other evil things tonight, I figured I'd spend some time screwing with things.

As with the design changes I implemented last year, the gallery section will lag behind since it's an entirely separate entity. So hang onto your hats and see what turns out.

My Yamaha FJR1300A

This section is just starting to be setup as I only just acquired my "new to me" 2007 Yamaha FJR1300A a few days ago. I've had the bike out on a few runs so far, but with the cold weather and needing to work, things will appear slowly for a bit.

Backstory

Introducing A New Stablemate!

My 2007 FJR1300A!With the need to sell my FZ6 before getting an FJR, I figured my wife's request to go have a look at the FJR down at Ron Ayers in Greenville, NC last Friday was simply so she could see what I was constantly yammering about over the past few months. I was wrong...

Selling My Baby

My 2004 FZ6 - Galaxy BlueWell, my pursuit of a "new to me" FJR1300A, without financing it, is now underway. The mission: sell as many "toys" and other stuff to save up enough money to get into the $5-6k range that a used Gen II FJR starts at. This means that my baby (2004 FZ6) is now up on Craigslist, awaiting a new owner! I've already sold my telescopes and some other stuff, so the path to Feejerism is starting to take shape!

The Upcoming Year

We still have a couple of days left, so I might as well get it out of the way now....Happy New Year! There, that's settled. The next year will hopefully have some good changes in store! Number one on my list is to get my hands on a "new to me" FJR so my wife and I can start pulling some overnighters more easily. We can do it on the Fizzer, but the comfort level just isn't there for long distance two-up blasts to the mountains; the FJR will handle such things with ease.

Merry Christmas

It's the holiday season and it would appear that my site's been on an extended one, lol. Busy, busy busy! There's a lot bubbling in the pot at the moment. For a time earlier this month, I was jonesing for a new truck, but when my wife was having trouble accepting the deals that were being offered to us, she dropped the F-bomb on me....FJR. "Why not keep the car and instead trade in your bike for that other bike you were wanting?
