Scott and Xi Goofing AroundWe have done it! Today, Xi and I finally got married in a small ceremony with my mother and her fiance present. It's fantastic to have made it this far after so many trials and tribulations! Naturally, we plan to have a more formal arrangement later on, plus we'll be traveling to China sometime in the next year to perform a traditional ceremony there. I can't tell you how excited we are for our relationship...it feels fantastic!
So where do we go from here? That's the question that everyone asks isn't it? We have a few ideas, but like everyone else, we're largely winging it, lol. Whatever happens, it should be lots of fun!
I met Xi way back in June of 2004 and as we near June of 2008, we are finally counting down the days until she steps off the airplane in Raleigh! It's taken the past 4 years to get to know each other, visit each other, and work through the morass of government procedures...but it's finally coming down to the wire. She flew through her final interview without any issues and received her visa back in March and has been spending the time since then working on moving preparations.
