Screenshots Moving

In the NEW Gallery, there is now an album devoted entirely to game screenshots, much like the old gallery. All of the old game screenshots will get moved over to the new gallery, likely breaking a few links here or there...progress is all about breaking down old things and starting fresh right? The only problem with getting all of those screenshots moved is the fact that the old gallery system, while placing all the screeshots in a specific album, did not keep those images in a single spot on the backend...they're rooted in the directory of the member who posted them. That makes the move a little more time consuming, but I think I'll eventually get it all finished.

Ironing Done?

Well, it would appear that MOST of the issues with this new site have been ironed out. There's probably a few little quirks left here or there, but I think most revolve around backend stuff that normal folks won't run into. As always, if you see a problem, simply let me know and I'll see if I can solve it.

Existing members of old site

If you were a member of the old website/old gallery, you should be able to either login directly here or request a new password based on your username. All members of the old site were imported into this system. A couple of members have managed to login successfully, but if you have a problem doing this, just drop me a line and I'll get it fixed for you.

Image Gallery Linkage

UPDATE: THIS IS FIXED!

Just a heads up for all the SG'ers that use the NEW gallery here. At this point, the gallery is capable of displaying links (to registered members) for use in other areas; however, the format of those links don't produce a direct link to the image yet...at least on some BB's. I'm working on a resolution for this and when I have something, you'll see it.

Does it make me a nerd?

Does it make me a nerd knowing that I got up today with great anticipation over the space shuttle's launch? With the sole exception of watching the Gatornationals on ESPN this afternoon, my television stayed on the NASA channel all day long, lol. Is it nerdier that I actually rushed out of the house today to buy some chips and salsa for the launch? Heh, oh well, who cares. I love the space program, no matter how underwhelming it is in comparison to accomplishments made DECADES ago. There is some explanation, I suppose, as I grew up in central Florida and was able to watch shots from our front porch. ;)
